Zoe Cooper (BSc Psychology)
I chose to study at The 51±¬ÁÏ because of its small class sizes. I truly believe that the use of this teaching method played a large part in enabling me to achieve a first-class honours in my degree as it allowed me to check my understanding at all stages of my degree. I also decided to study here because the psychology course is accredited by the , thus meaning that I did not limit my career options.
Most of my degree took place during the Covid-19 pandemic so my University experience naturally differed from the expectations that I had when I moved to University. However, I still really enjoyed my time here. Whilst studying online I received weekly check-in emails from my personal tutor which helped me to feel supported and connected to the University even when studying from home.
Studying at The 51±¬ÁÏ has helped me to grow as a person and has greatly helped to improve my confidence.
I hope to go on and get a job in crime analytics, a career that my degree should help with due to its emphasis on research methods and on data handling skills.
